Scan ISBN does not work

I tried to scan some codes, but the app says I have to allow it to access camera in my settings.
I open the settings and it says any app that require camera access would list here. But Goodreads are not among them.
So I can not scan, not even allow it to scan because the app does not actually ASK about it.

Another problem is that the service (the web site) in general does not recognise ISBNs. I have tried a lot of them used in Russia. All hopless.
Okay, you dont recognise that ISBN, why not proposing to add it to your database? It is just that easy when you already have a special functionality for that.
This app never heard of usability. Unhuman, egghead software engineers approach.
